A resident of Haidakhan in the 1970s and 80s, Gabriele Wosien holds degrees in Russian language and literature from the University of London. Together with her father, ballet master and choreographer Bernhard Wosien, she developed methods for the conscious experience of archetypal images and symbols that introduced the healing and meditative powers of sacred dance to such world institutions as Scotland's Findhorn Foundation and the Jung Institute, Zurich. A practicing filmmaker and choreographer, Wosien is the author of a number of widely translated works. Among them, Sacred Dance: Encounter with the Gods, Thames and Hudson, London, and Avon, New York, 1974; and, most recently, Still Point and Moving World: Celebrating Life with Sacred Dance, Sarsen Press, Winchester, England, 2018.
