21世纪才刚刚开始，但我们可以预见这个新世纪是中国人的世纪，中华民族有着五千年悠久的历史文化，随着上个世纪80年代中国人的改革开放开始，这个泱泱大国，就开始了自己的又一次复兴。在过去的20多年里，我们已经取得了举世瞩目的成就，综合国力不断提升。正是基于此，我们想到了要出一套世界大师的学术名著思想丛书。我们确信只有用人类创造的全部知识财富来丰富自己的头脑，才能够建成现代化的中国，这些书籍所蕴藏的思想财富和学术价值，为学人所熟知，毋需赘述，这些译本过去大多有单行本，各家出版的目的也不同，亦各有自己的系统，体例上也不完全统一，如今我们本着学术名著大众化、通俗化、实用化的原则，对这些作品进行重新编译，对原著的序跋予以删除，统一体例。相信读者朋友们懂得用正确的分析态度去研读这些著作。汲取其对我们有用的精华，剔除其不合时宜的糟粕。古为今用、洋为中用，提高我们的学术水平，理论水平为振兴中华民族而奋斗。对于丛书有欠水准之处欢迎读者批评指正。（Although the twenty-first Century has just started, we can anticipate that the new century is a century of Chinese people. Chinese nation has long history and culture of five thousand years. As the reform and opening up of Chinese people started in 1980s, the great country began its another renaissance. In the past 20 years, we have made remarkable achievements and our overall national strength has been continuously improved. Based on this, we have thought of publishing a series of books of famous academic masterpieces and ideologies of world masters. We are convinced that only by enriching our brains with all knowledge created by human beings can we build modern China. The ideological wealth and academic value contained in these books are well known to the scholars so there is no need to give unnecessary details. Most of the translations have previous offprint with different publishing purposes, respective systems and incompletely unified formats. Now we compile and translate these works again, delete the prefaces and postscripts of the original works and unify the formats based on the principle of popularizing and pragmatizing academic masterpieces. We believe that readers understand to read these works with correct analytical attitudes, absorb the essences which are useful to us and discard the outdated dross, make the past serve the present, make foreign things serve Chinese demand and enhance our academic level and theoretical level to strive for the rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
