Over the last three and a half decades, using energy to heal (a modality that has been around for millions of years) fell in and then out of mainstream popularity.

With the increase of modern medical procedures there has been an increase of chronically ill patients looking for more than a medical regiment. What they found was a flood of alternative healers, each with their own method and set of techniques that could make them feel better, but not necessarily heal them.

Energy healing derives from a spiritual connection, which is why energy healing techniques don't work. Self healing is possible, but you have to go beyond the techniques and into yourself to actually heal.
