Temple of Lies – The sequel to The Oracle of Ur

Girl, who must now become accustomed to her birth name, Saoirse, has officially been acknowledged as the new oracle of Ur. She should be celebrating with the citizens of Ur, who have been saved from a devastating flood by her message from the gods. All hopes are on Saoirse to usher in a golden age. If only it were that easy.

While the people wait atop the Temple for the flood waters to ease, it is clear to Saoirse that anything but a golden age will follow, given the destruction that awaits them below. Not to mention the Temple elite, who hold the balance of power and are determined to maintain their stranglehold on the vast riches of Ur. They see Saoirse as nothing but a grasping fraud with her history of prostitution and desire to be together with Temple scribe Kaylem – her only friend in the known world. The elite would gladly welcome her death.

Saoirse and Kaylem must walk a tightrope of navigating the elite's cesspit of corruption while ensuring their continued safety. Meanwhile, from the shadows, humanity is being manipulated by the Ushum and Anzu; powerful, otherworldly beings at war with each other and desperate to push their own agendas.
