As a Black American, James Croone can speak to many of the dismays of racism. Through years of teaching in Bible colleges and pastoring, he remains perplexed how one can hold on to biases against those of other ethnicities and proudly proclaim to be a follower of Jesus Christ. However, this has been a standard fixture throughout history from those who have interpreted God's word to enslave, oppress, and extort those made in his image. One would only believe that through advanced developments in studies of resources, archeology, and linguistics analysis—and, most importantly, being in tune with God's Spirit—we would have a better grasp of the gospel, ridding ourselves of these pseudo-interpretations. Much of what is touted in media, publications, or friends with opinions conveys solutions that are irrational and fueled by anger and reprisal. Civil unrest, reforms, laws, and financial retribution are shortlived, external solutions; bias is an internal problem. No matter how stringent laws can be, there are always loopholes. There are no loopholes internally, though, if one truly walks in line with the gospel. This book aims to assist in transforming the hearts of those wrestling with bias and lead them to the path of restoration.
