The Happiest Man on Earth (2020) is a testament to the power of resilience, friendship, and kindness in the darkest of times. Eddie Jaku grew up as the Nazis were rising to power in Germany. Though he hid his Jewish identity, he and his family were captured and sent to concentration camps. Eddie somehow managed to survive the atrocities of Buchenwald and Auschwitz and the brutal Death March from Auschwitz. He lost family and friends, but not his spirit. He realized that love and joy were the best antidotes to hatred, and he could make the world a better place by sharing his story. He celebrated his 100th birthday by publishing his memoir, explaining why he was the happiest man in the world.
