Larry Nassar is a former physician and athletic trainer who spent a significant amount of time working with USA Gymnastics before being found guilty in 2017 of sexual assault and possessing child pornography.

He has committed crimes such as assaulting individuals while pretending to provide medical care. Two women allegedly reported Nassar's abuse to the Indianapolis Star in 2016, leading to the disclosure of other victims, including Olympic gymnasts and the daughter of family friends. Nassar had previously had probes into his activities dismissed, but this time he was prosecuted and found guilty.
