Twelve years-old best friends, Aretha Johnson and Olivia Anderson are at The Grand Hotel for Aretha's grandmother's birthday. The two girls visit the hotel's garden that Olivia's family gardener used to work at. When the two girls come back from visiting the hotel's garden, they realize that Aretha's birthday gift for her grandmother, a beautiful necklace, has gone missing. The two girls recalled the rumor they learned from the hotel's employee about the birds at the secret aviary, who had been suspected of stealing jewelries from the hotel guests. Aretha and Olivia went on a hunt and split up to locate the secret aviary and retrieve the missing necklace fast. But the two girls are not sure of the existence of the secret aviary, or if the birds really stole the necklace.
