Tyler Gramme and Noah Fosters are both eleven-year old boys from Danville. Tyler loves fishing while Noah wants to learn how to do it. The boys usually spend their weekend in the lake in order for Tyler to teach Noah, but in one of their fishing trips, the boys are shocked to see dead fish in the lake.
The next weekend, Tyler and Noah discover more dead fish and the boys realize that it is not due to the weather like what Tyler's father suspects. The boys find out that there is really something wrong going on when they see the town assessor spilling liquid from two barrels into the lake.
Will the boys be able to prove that the town assessor has something to do with the dead fish in the lake?
