Think Jim Carey on this one! Michael Duffy, "Duff," is working in an office situation in South Florida until his dream job opens up somewhere in the north, where he is from. He has a fiancé back in Stockbridge, MA. But never expected to fall head over heels in love with Raina. She likes Duff, but doesn't love him, and doesn't share his goals of an academic, intellectual life up north.

When Raina and her best friend, Marisol, decide to take a road-trip vacation up Interstate 95 to visit interesting cities and explore, Duff is beside himself with concern for their safety. But Fate has other plans. The death of his grandmother decrees that Duff will drive the same route at the same time—but how can he do that without looking like a stalker...and Raina has made it crystal clear she needs time apart from him to think things over.

But no matter how hard Duff tries to vary his route and avoid running into Raina and Marisol, they all seem to end up in the same place! His sincere attempts to stay out of their way are hilarious, as well as heart-rending.
