La Mia Sorella, (My Sister), explores the complex relationship between two sisters and their extraordinary love for one another beneath the weight of southern Italy's prejudices and the ever- changing landscape of America's early 20th century. From a small, struggling village embraced by the Mediterranean Sea to Boston's North End, the sisters embark on distinctly different roads to navigate world wars, an arranged marriage, natural disasters, abuse, healing and tremendous loss.
