Perdifumo, with its hamlets of Camella, Vatolla and Mercato Cilento, lying on a hilly area touching and at times exceeding about 500 meters above sea level, puts you in front of a scenery of natural beauty at times wild as well as worked for centuries from the arms of its inhabitants mainly to olive trees. And so that you can truly enjoy the beauties of this area, we are here to tell you about the particular sense of well-being and harmony in which you feel enveloped as you climb the roads that take you from the sea to the heart of the town. Who is Pixer120? Here is a short biography of this amateur photographer.
Pixer120, the name by which Loris Periani is known, has been an amateur photographer since 1976, the year in which he inaugurated his Canon reflex, returning to the places of his childhood to immortalize the Bolognese countryside and his rural memories in his first black and white photos. Person shy in showing off, however he agreed to participate with his images in the photographic exhibition set up in 1988, in Pianoro (BO), with the theme "Photography is my pastime" receiving warm appreciation from visitors.
With the transition to digital cameras, with Canon and Nikon, even his point of view, his image perspectives have changed keeping pace with technology, however his gaze on his subjects always remains permeated with the desire to share with the observer the beauty of the surrounding world.
For this reason, even I who write have used his art for various covers of my books and for certain images of my texts and it was precisely to correspond to my desire that Loris Periani participated in the 2016 photo competition "Common People 2016 edition Story Riders , Torchiara, Cilento" winning it.
Now, Pixer120 (Loris Periani) using SONY cameras with Zeiss optics continues in his passion growing in experience and art as shown on Flickr, the multilingual website that allows members to share photography, on which Pixer120 has been participating since 2018, boasts thousands of followers and millions of views, as well as hundreds of thousands of favourites.
