The Russian agencies take their nuclear defence disc to a military-secured location because they already know that the US secret service is attempting to retrieve it. After taking the initiative, John and Alex head towards Russia. Finding the disc without knowing anyone in Russia was their major objective. They have no idea how to get the disc or where it is. They both need to come up with a plan, but they are both caught.
