My name is Janice Bomar Crutcher. I have been feeding Mac and Gracie over 2 years. Sometimes twice a day. They know their names. I call them to come and feed. I was inspired to write this when I discovered that Mac had one bad wing and could not fly. I was his only source of food. So many days I felt so sad because he was so lonely. It just broke my heart, especially the way the other geese treated him for being different. Then one day Gracie appeared. They were bullied by the other Canadian geese because they were different. I want to produce a children's book to explain about bullying. With this being a big problem with our children today. To let them know it is ok to be different and not let anyone bully them. They are not alone. It is in our society today and to show them it happens in the animal species also. I have never done anything like this before. I went to the library and researched layouts of children's books. There was one layout I liked. It had the writing on the right pages and the left pages were the illustrations. So much to learn about writing a book. I just want to relay the message about bullying. Thank you for your time.
