A GRIPPING WORLD WAR II ADVENTURE: The D-Day Invasion of Normandy in June 1944 gave everyone in Europe hope that the war would be over by the following Christmas. Richard Thorne, a veteran agent with Churchill's Secret Army, is responsible for gathering intelligence on the German Army prior to the final Allied assault on Nazi Germany.

Thorne has survived behind enemy lines longer than any other British agent-his success attributed in part to pure luck, but mostly credited to his cunning evasion of German authorities. When Anna Larsen, his Dutch Resistance partner, suspects a double-agent working in their faction, they must solve the puzzle behind a sinister plot that threatens the success of the upcoming Allied offensive against Nazi-occupied Holland.
