"It is very ironic. That the human race could achieve such marvelous things such as deep-space flight and planetary colonization. And yet, we could not prevent slavery from entering back into the fold of society. However, if you look back in history all of the great societies were founded on slavery. Greece, Rome, Persia, Egypt, Great Britain, America, this new chapter in humanity could not have been written without the help of slaves. Actually, in truth, it is not "slavery" in a true sense. It is "'indentured servitude.'"

These are the words spoken by Ross Reed, a slave to a master on the planet Europa. For all his life he has known nothing but the life of a servitude and bondage. He was living the average life of a slave when, his master is accused of a vile crime and is forced to take the blame. With his world turned upside down he is forced to flee but, where will he go?
