With Christian legitimacy assumed, believers should not require any accommodation for their free practice of religion. If we feel external pressure, then this may be a result of drifting away from the original community priorities of compassion and support for our neighbors. We have effectively created our own opposition by forgetting our own priorities. The task at hand is one of converting, rather than overcoming, any perceived adversaries. Our best path forward is a return to the original priorities of love, compassion and support. However, our approach needs to be updated for our changing circumstances. We have the discretion to apply creativity in making the community more accessible to our neighbors. We will need to take some risks as we adapt our approach, but those risks are mitigated if we allow criticism and constructive conflict.
