A Farmer's Fence series is a collection of 16 enclosures (units) based on themes meant for young learners of English at the level of Grade 1.
The series emphasizes conversation and has no intention to teach grammar. This is the inductive approach to learning a language.
My Own Alphabet Trove, Enclosure 1, is the first unit in the series. It first introduces all the 26 alphabets with words and then goes on to a separate section for vowels and words containing the H combination letters. Enclosure 1 also teaches very simple and basic sentences and has spelling quizzes of common words. Readers also learn some phonics and how syllables work.
