Yeshua bar-Yosef has been crucified, accused of plotting to overthrow the government of Pontius Pilate. His family and friends have gathered in the house of Amos the Cloth merchant to celebrate the Jewish Passover but instead of relating the Jewish narrative of salvation, they reminisce about Yeshua, the boy he was and the man he became. Told in the voices of those who knew him, loved him and even hated him, this is the story of the man who would become known to the world as Jesus Christ.

This imaginative retelling of the three days between the crucifixion and the resurrection is based on recent research into the historical Jesus and on the work of archaeologists and historians in Israel and Palestine.
