Exploring Creation with Zoology 2: Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day is a homeschool science curriculum for elementary students. In this course, you and your student will explore the wonders of the swimming creatures and the waters they live in. From primeval plesiosaurus', whales, and sea turtles to sea snails, coral, and plankton, your student's understanding of swimming creatures will come to life as they engage in this Zoology 2 curriculum filled with vivid graphics, interactive lessons, and hands-on projects.

Curriculum Overview

In Apologia's Exploring Creation with Zoology 2 course, your student will adventure through the waters of the Earth as they learn about aquatic animals and their environments. They'll dive deeper into zoology as they investigate elements of marine life, aqua mobility, filter feeders, currents, fresh water, salt water, the Continental Shelf, and abyssal animals. They'll also gain a deep understanding of whales, seals and sea cows, aquatic herps, reptiles and amphibians, primeval reptiles, fish anatomy and their stages of life, sharks and rays, crustaceans, trilobites, mollusks, sponges, sea squirts, leeches, flatworms, and much more!

The creatures your student studies will come to life as they create their own "Ocean Box" (a miniature hand-crafted aquarium) with replicas of the sea creatures they study. When your student completes this study of zoology, they will never view the ocean in the same way again.
