Nick Cain was suddenly finding himself homeless and living in his van. He parked the van in the local tent city with all the other homeless persons. He meets and developes a bond with a woman who lived there. Unfortunatly her life was slowy being terrorized by killers and she was even almost kidnapped but Nick saved her. What was the mystery of why she was the target for attempts on her life. Nick eventually discovers the answer and they are on a schedule to solve why. This is a novella, shorter than a novel but longer than a short story. This is also the first Nick Cain Mystery with more in a series to come.
