Sara has everything going for her; good grades, great friends and lots of love, until her brother, David, loses his battle with Cystic Fibrosis. In her grief, Sara turns to Sam, David's best friend. Lost in their grief, Sara and Sam cling to one another, teaching each other how to love again. When Sara leaves for college, she finds herself torn between the boy she has loved her entire life, and Shawn, a classmate with whom she feels an immediate connection, and in a moment of unplanned passion, Sara changes her relationship with Sam and Shawn forever.
