Sun Bin and Pang Juan were originally disciples of the same master. The story has been adapted for Pingshu storytelling by Mr. Tian Lianyuan. It describes the famous military strategist Sun Bin Jingguo ruling the army and winning by surprise attack in the Warring States Period. Pang Juan first went to Wei to become a general. Soon after, King Wei Hui invited Sun Bin to join. Fearing that Sun Bin, Pang Juan used a poisonous scheme to stab Sun Bin with his feet, and wanted to kill him after obtaining his military record. Sun Bin pretended to be mad, but was later rescued and fled to Qi. In the end, he led soldiers to surround Wei and save Zhao, and Malingdao led in a great victory, and Pang Juan was defeated.
