Since the establishment of the secret agency, A Capsule of Stars, in Japan, there has a been a record zero suicides in the country. The men and women who work there—the lifeguards—are trained to be patient, caring, and anonymous. Personal interactions are strictly forbidden and punished by prison. Still, when Himari is brought to the agency, one lifeguard begins to wonder who is saving whom.
