This themed e-book is devoted to the work of one organisation—the European Central Bank (ECB). In 2002 the ECB adopted a new strategic approach to managing its information more effectively in the electronic environment, part of which was the internal appointment of six Records Management Specialists. The articles, written by these staff and their Head of Department, report aspects and findings from research that is informing current practice and projects which have been informed by research.
