"Sophia and Alex Learn About Sports" is one of eleven volumes in the "Sophia and Alex" series, written by author Denise Bourgeois-Vance and illustrated by artist Damon Danielson. The book opens with their grandfather taking Sophia, Alex, and their older brother Noah to a baseball game. They learn about rules and the importance of good sportsmanship as they join a soccer team near their home. Sophia and Alex make new friends on the team and play their first match.
