Obesity is a major issue for public health. Diabetes, heart disease, stroke, hypertension, gallbladder and fatty liver disease, as well as some cancers, are all directly linked to it. Worldwide, nearly one billion people are overweight or obese, and this number is rising.
The majority of people can benefit from losing just 5% of their body weight. This might be adequate to lessen the gamble of creating diabetes or bringing down the circulatory strain.
This is a target that most patients can achieve by eating a healthy, well-balanced diet low in calories and increasing their physical activity.
The entire family may adopt healthy lifestyle choices if the management of a family member's obesity is a concern. Children who are obese especially benefit from this. Especially for children under the age of 12, parents must take responsibility for modifying their children's diet and increasing their physical activity.
