Jim Rainey was approached by the elderly widow of an American brigadier general, who wanted him to find a valuable document hidden somewhere on a remote Philippine island. Though he distrusted the widow's motives, the price was right, so Rainey took the assignment. Bu he soon found himself dodging the bullets of Communist and non-communist rebels, President Marcos' secret police, and freelance gunmen hired by parties unknown.
