Desperate Times is a poetry anthology that contains four main topics: Love, Politics, Mental Health and Narrative Poems/Story Poems. Ranges from personal to fictitious experiences. All of which came from real-life inspirations and motivations that guided me to write this ebook.

That consists of writing styles beyond my imagination, such as poems in informal speech to utilising old or archaic English to add artistic flair yet still retaining the modern flavour of speech. Additionally, some hidden easter eggs from Pop Culture. I challenge you to see if you can find some of these easter eggs from Pop Culture if you dare.

"Desperate Times" because I had faced numerous adversity in my lifetime: such as diminishing mental health from suicidal thoughts to running away from home. Mental Health was and still is an ongoing uphill battle since my senior high school years, 11th and 12th grade.

Including political afterthoughts from my mind that may seem contrarian or outlandish. With poetic stories that remind me how bizarre, tragic and wonderful life can be from the challenges we face almost every day. It also includes poems about the love of friends, family or a romantic partner ranging from both endearing and tragic.

I find it hard to believe that I've been writing poetry since I was in 8th grade, and this 1st ebook was published almost not ten years after when I first started writing poems. It suffices to say it is evident in some parts of the ebook where the writing differs stylistically and thematically.

I poured my heart's content onto this ebook with the support of my family and friends. The timeline of my writing this ebook started from my early High School years up until I reached vocational college. It's a dream come true since I have finally achieved one of my most arduous life goals. I hope you enjoy reading this ebook as much as I did writing it.
