I'm staring at Ian Reyes, aka Aimee's stepbrother, though he's old enough to be her dad. Aimee's stepfather–Ian's dad–is old enough to be her grandfather. When her mom was first dating him, Aimee would call him "the ancient one."
Like always, my heart beats a little faster in Ian's presence. For a while, I had–okay, fine, still have–a crush on him, which of course, is something I haven't told Aimee.
