Courtney won't let the Council take anything else from her.

The Council is to blame for everything bad that's ever happened in Courtney's life. They made sure her parents couldn't be together, then threatened her mother so much that she chose to protect her daughters in a private realm and die.... than face them. Ava and Bella have been almost killed multiple times, and Courtney herself has been poisoned and attacked.
