The gods have vanished. The age of starships and thinking machines is long past.

Then an enigmatic spirit offers her safety and freedom... if Shada joins a quest to find Ronia's long-lost god, who can restore the city to its former glory.

To save their people, Shada and her companions will journey to the ends of the universe. But first, they must escape Ronia alive.
