Book synopsis:

Father A has found God and wants to be relieved of his duties as a priest. He is working on the homeless problem in Phoenix, the city where he lives, and he has recruited help from among the homeless population itself. This is the story of that colorful group of people and their attempts to help him not only to be defrocked, but to house, clothe and feed the homeless like themselves.

Autobiography:

Joyce Keveren has written six novels, two volumes of poetry and one collection of short stories. This is her seventh novel.

I loved writing this book and getting to know (making up) the homeless people who inhabit this story. I am concerned about this problem, and I am wondering if Father A's solution could be used effectively in the real world as it does in this work of fiction.
