King of Hunters tells about the hunting culture of Agwa village in the precolonial era from the eastern region of Nigeria. The prestige and wealth associated with success in the art of hunting in the village serves as motivation to young men to go the extra to be recognized. The story explores the life of a young and successful hunter who stops at nothing to preserve his status as the eze ochu'nta in the village. As he strives to remain at the top of the chart others fight to overturn him.
