In At Dock's End, the second volume of his Lake Nebagamon trilogy, Louis Daniel Brodsky returns to his source of inspiration in nature, in northern Wisconsin. He invites us to escape the stress and noise of modern urban society and return to the soul-restoring solitude of the natural world. "Everyone should have a lake in the valley of his soul," Brodsky writes, and for those not fortunate enough to have experienced a sojourn like his, these poems make such a lake come alive.
