The Gettin' Higher Snowmobile Club took advantage of a deep snowfall to ride their usual Colorado mountain trails. But today was anything but usual—a red truck off the road, half buried in snow, precariously anchored by towering pines. Is someone in the truck? Dead or alive? 

Deputy Sheriff Phoebe Korneal, is called to the scene by Sheriff Joe, who is convinced the accident resulted from poor driving by a woman. Typical thinking? But Phoebe senses something more is going on and her intuition kicks in. Why would a woman drive a treacherous mountain road? And all alone with a blizzard in the forecast?
