Crows are associated with death since they are both scavengers and predators. As opportunistic consumers, they feast from time to time together with other carrion feeders (vultures and eagles), going to places where death has occurred to seek food. Because of this, crows are depicted as an omen and harbingers of doom, but they are highly intelligent and social creatures willing to eat whatever, as carnivores and omnivores must if they want to survive.
