Since she's stunned at the offer, she hugs him, but it takes her a few more moments to verbally respond a brief "thank you". I can no longer just think about myself. I'm probably the most flexible for being able to continue into the next step and move on. It's a good thing this isn't an emergency, but I will take this opportunity to find a way to disengage from my violent past.
