In a lot of ways, I was more a part of the family than just a typical associate. I watched his two sons grow up and work their way up the company ladder. Everyone expected them to take over the company, but their father still insisted that they learn the company from the ground up, quite literally, since their first jobs were shoveling dirt. It was like the golden years, the family was extremely happy and the company was very well respected and growing, but this is only an illusion.
