Phileas Fogg is a quiet man who likes order and routine in all aspects of his life. One day, he makes a bet with some members of his club. If he can travel around the world and return to London within eighty days, he will win £20,000. If he fails, he will have to pay the club members that amount.

Accompanied by his butler, Passepartout, Phileas Fogg sets off from London on 2nd October 1872. Meanwhile, Fix, a London detective, has earmarked Phileas Fogg as a bank robber and decides to follow him. What will happen on Phileas Fogg's epic journey?
