This essay is a sequel to 'A Tale of Four Graphs'. In that earlier essay, published in August, I described how Sarasota, Florida's changing climate had reached a critical point when record temperature increases that began in 2011 reached a 1.5 Centigrade limit a decade later in 2020. It was subsequently concluded during a September mentoring session with an eighth-grade class at the Sagemont School (Weston, Fl.) that Sarasota, Florida was not climate change sustainable!
This sequel, 'The KEY', describes two events — the eighth-grade mentoring project, and the 2015 Paris Climate Summit (COP 21) — and a NOAA atmospheric carbon dioxide report that collectively reveal a game-changing plan (KEY) to diffuse the global climate crisis — giving Sarasota a pathway to climate change sustainability.
