With her English degree in hand Tansy MacDougal decided to take a year in the corporate world to figure out her next steps. She bounced from one temp job to another, never staying long as random misfortunes seemed to follow her. Malfunctioning office equipment and soda machines that shoot cans out as though they were missiles become common. As she fears she is about to be dismissed yet again, Tansy receives word that her Great Aunt has passed.
