The maritime industry comprises multifaceted sectors and is truly global in nature, requiring huge discrete investments in a dynamic market environment that has a unique competitive structure populated by numerous players. This book originates from the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University Malaysia Terengganu, where the author is based. The faculty is located on a serene beach facing the South China Sea (a sea with many important shipping lanes and rich marine life), which gives it a natural site advantage to conduct maritime and marine science studies.
