Amara, a 17-year-old half-elf, has lived on her peaceful, remote island of Teldesan for as long as she can remember. But now she's been accepted into the Academy - a prestigious school for magic and academics in the capital city of the Federation - and is thrown into the real world. Helplessness and fear clash with an urge to act as she starts realizing the world isn't as simple as she thought. Amara gets caught up in advocating for change within the corrupt government, while a war between the Federation and a rebellion led by the mysterious yet feared Nico rages on.
