Kim Rubinstein is Associate Artistic Director of the Long Wharf Theatre in Connecticut. She recently directed Guys and Dolls, the kick off production of Long Wharf's 40th anniversary season. For ten years Ms. Rubenstein was a full-time member of the theatre/acting faculty at Northwestern University, in Chicago, and her other teaching credits include working with Steppenwolf's Professional School, Wesleyan University, University of Chicago, and Teatro degli Stracci in Italy. In addition to numerous directing credits in Chicago, Ms. Rubenstein was Associate Director with Michael Mayer and the Tour Director of the National Tour of Angels in America, which originated at the Royal George Theatre. The title of this lecture is, "Director's View: American Theatre Today."
