Belgheis Soleimani earned her MA in Western Philosophy from Tehran University. She is now living in Tehran, has published several books and is winner of several Iranian book prizes. She has been a member of the board of judges for numerous literary festivals. She wrote also several flash fictions that are translated into Italian, English, Arabic and Georgian.

Tahereh Karim Ghasemi, the main character of the story, one day coincidentally meets one of her very old friends in the parents and teachers association of her daughter's school, and this event takes her back to the distant past and her unpleasant memories of her hometown, i.e. the 60s and the pure youth Tahereh's father is dying and struggling with cancer, and for his satisfaction, an expedient marriage is arranged with his cousin "Ahmad". Tahereh and Ahmed both love each other, but Ahmed, who is a member of a political group, suddenly disappears immediately after the wedding ceremony, leaving Tahereh alone.
