F. Miguel Valenti is the new Lincoln professor of ethics in the arts at Arizona State University. In that capacity, he is launching the natio?s first Ethics in Media program and designing a new film major for ASU. Valenti is an accomplished independent film producer, writer and director, as well as an entertainment attorney. He is the president of Valenti Entertainment, Inc. and a former managing partner of The Management Company, whose clients include noted actors, writers, producers, and directors in film television, and theater. Having earned his law degree from Yale University, Valenti has taught courses on the economic, marketing and social realities of the contemporary film industry and on the future of the entertainment industries at Yale and UCLA. The title of this lecture is, "Contemporary Cinema: An Updating of American Character and Ethics."
