Sometimes it's impatience that pays the price. And, perhaps, a little curiosity, too. You pay for it by wearing a mask for years to cover up what's left of your face. But over time you get used to everything, including the quite unambiguous reaction of others to your appearance. It is only the character that is deteriorating. So what of it? People want to see Scarecrow, and they will get it. And what if you happen to run into a girl who isn't frightened, but freezes in admiration?
