Gloria Barr Ford is her mother's 7th child among 4 living sisters and brothers. She started writing poetry at the age of 8, and believes that she has always been "Empowered by the Spirit". She accepted Christ at an early age, even though she's had to learn many lessons the hard way, she finally returned to "the rock of her salvation". An ordained itinerant elder and licensed evangelist, she's quick to let you know she loves the Lord. She's a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, playwright, storyteller, gospel singer, journalist, dramatist, radio minister and an administrative assistant at Coastal Carolina University. She has always wanted to write a book of poetry and a line of children's books, so her dream is coming true. Hopefully as you read the poems of childhood, of family, of inspiration, and of life—you will become "Empowered By The Spirit".
