The poems have various themes. Some of the poems with a political theme include The Rice Mill Owner, Extinct, The Blind Soul, Loving our Traditions, MNRGES, The Refugees, and to our Prime Minister. The book also highlights Kuki folktales such as

1.Khupting and Ngambom (the immortal lovers)

2.Lenchonghoi (the fate of an exceptionally beautiful damsel)

3.Kolkang Landslide (about a mysterious landslide in which the whole village was carried away except for the hut of a poor widow)

4.Kuki (Among the poems, "Kuki" is the longest one with 153 stanzas, written about the life of the Kukis in olden times, their customs, traditions, religion, and culture depicted through the protagonist Kuki).
